Tsuba Interviews Art Department

Tsuba celebrates 5 years with a special two-part EP, the first of which sees some of the label's finest output reworked by Sebo K, Art Department and Arto Mwambe as well as an exclusive collaboration between Tsuba alumni Hector and Okain.

In a series of quick fire interviews Tsuba caught up with the artists & remixers involved in the project. First up, we talk to Art Department:




1. Your favourite DJ and why?

Damian Lazarus... when he's on he's truly the most interesting and mind bending dj to listen and dance to.

2. What track never leaves your box?


Daft Punk - Alive

3. Best club in the world?

Toss up between Panorama Bar and DC10
 
4. Current top 3?

5. Plans for 2011?

Move to Barcelona, put out an album, meet amazing people.... and quit smoking

not sure what that means exactly... um... grey is "in"??

7. Favourite Tsuba track?

Williams - Pinball (origiinal)

8. Best movie of all time?


thats a loaded question!.... although, just watched an amazing doc on Tommy Dowd, the engineer for Atlantic records in the 60's responsible for implementing multitrack recording into the record industry.. not sure if it was the best movie of all time but it's damn inspiring!

9. What's your ultimate meal?

kenny - Steak & potatoes. Jonny - everything on the menu at Big Fish in Barcelona...

10. Tell us something we don't know about you?


we have an extremely serious addiction to vintage sunglasses and travel with a custom metal case that holds 68 pairs... each.
