Tsuba Interviews Bearweasel

Tsuba celebrates 5 years with the release of two special EPs, the second of which is out now and includes exclusive new tracks from Christian Burkhardt & Federico Molinari, Ethyl & Huxley, Justin Drake & Kevin Griffiths and Bearweasel.

Tsuba caught up with the artists involved in the project in a series of quick fire interviews. First up, we interview Bearweasel:

1. Your favourite DJ and why?

If I think too much about this one, it would be impossible to realise – so right now, a toss up between Fred P and Craig Richards, for entirely different reasons.

2. What track never leaves your box?

Mr V. 'Jus Dance' or STL 'Silent State'

3. Best club in the world?

Again, too close to call, but if I go on where has had the most influence on me in the past 5/6 years, it's Fabric.

4. Current top 3?

Black Jazz Consortium 'Stay' - Soul People Music
Nyra 'Casturize'
Joey Andserson 'Listen Up' - Inmeg

5. Plans for 2011?

Stop doing remixes/write more original stuff/stop thinking.

6. Tip for the top in 2011?

I'd like to see less 'top' names and more tiny little names doing wicked things.

7. Favourite Tsuba track?

Gotta be Nina's remix of Okain….

8. Best movie of all time?

Buffalo 66

9. What's your ultimate meal?

Anything cooked by Angela Hartnett.

10. Tell us something we don't know about you?

I worry about people's opinions more than I'll ever allow people to know.

Bearweasel's '5 Year Old Vintage Glass Suit' is available now on Vinyl from Juno and download from Beatport
